DALLAS -- Excel Communications, Inc., one of the leading telecommunications providers in the United States, today announced the launch of its affiliate, Excel Communications (UK) Limited (ETI) in the UK telecommunications market. ETI offers UK customers up to 35 per cent cost saving on UK national calls and up to 70 per cent on international calls compared to standard rates.
Excel has targeted the UK market for further international expansion at a time when increasing competition from deregulation creates opportunities for service providers, as well as more competitive rates and service offerings for UK consumers. The expansion was made possible through recently signed strategic agreements with IBM United Kingdom Limited and UK telecom provider Energis to ensure a successful entry into the European market.
``The growth opportunity in the UK telecommunications market reminds us of what we experienced in the United States following the break up of AT&T,'' said Christina Gold, vice chairman and CEO for Excel. ``Following Excel's successful expansion into Canada last year, we know that our business model is transferable to international markets. Direct selling has been established in the UK and is widely accepted throughout Europe.''
Gold added, ``Focus groups conducted throughout the UK overwhelmingly concluded that most consumers welcome competitive offerings. Similar to Excel's approach in the US and Canadian markets, our goal is to provide an alternative value proposition to consumers and quality service.''
The company presents entrepreneurs with a unique opportunity to start their own home-based business.
